The powerful white-and-blue "Waves" design reflects iconic Japanese wave artwork found on 19th century decorative fusuma paper, which was lovingly collected in Japan by British diplomat Sir Rutherford Alcock for an 1862 exhibition in London. Every Entryways mat is designed and crafted to be stylish and functional and all doormats in the Victoria and Albert Collection are available in two sizes––18" by 30" and 24" by 36".
